I'm Ryan Minter, an urbanist, technologist, and writer focused on post-industrial landscapes and their transformation.
My work examines the intersections between abandoned spaces, collective memory, and technological intervention. I document the physical remnants of industrial decline while exploring how communities perceive and repurpose these environments.
Through field research, photography, and critical writing, I investigate the aesthetic, social, and ecological dimensions of post-industrial urbanism. My approach combines elements of urban studies, industrial archaeology, and digital humanities.
Based on extensive exploration of factory districts, defunct rail yards, and repurposed industrial complexes, my projects aim to foster new perspectives on these overlooked spaces and their potential futures.
